New Church In Old Building

Advanced Sound & Communication and our sister music store retailer, Big Dude's Music, have several hundred church and para-church customers. Recently, we designed and installed a system for a young church new to an old church building.

Northpointe Ministries had been meeting in temporary spaces using a portable AV system for years. Recently, they merged with the First Baptist Church Smithville, MO congregation and became Prevail Church. Wes Parker of Harmony Vineyard Church referred Prevail to Advanced Sound & Communication for their AV system needs.

We met with the staff on-site for a consultation. Designs and proposals were presented to the team. Once a proposal was accepted, we met with the architect, general contractor, and electrical contractor to choreograph the installation of the audio, video, and lighting system. We all had supply chain and labor issues affecting our timelines. We provided time and money-saving solutions to the electrical contractor. Everyone worked well together for the common goal.

We met all of the design criteria and over-delivered on performance. Sometimes acoustic modeling within EASE is a hard sell to musicians when they are so used to seeing large sound systems in their venues outside of the church. There was a little skepticism about two small Fulcrum Acoustic loudspeakers covering the seating area. Excitement soon replaced their doubt. They couldn’t believe how hi-fi, smooth and loud the system could be.

The Allen & Heath SQ7, AHM, and ME-1 mixing systems are perfect for small to mid-sized churches. We preconfigured, line-checked, and tuned the instruments before the band and singers arrived for rehearsal. ME-1 personal monitor mixes were preset to save the group some time. All they had to do was fine-tune their mixes while the front-of-house volunteers could learn what we did to achieve the result they enjoyed.

The Datavideo streaming studio system is so intuitive that the staff configured and began using it before it was complete. All they had to do was type in their persistent stream keys, and they were running. The system is a go-to for us in small to mid-sized churches.

The Chamsys, Chauvet Professional, and Environmental Light system was programmed with simple user presets. The church staff provided a list of looks they wanted, and we programmed the wall controls and console with the presets to make them happen.

We can do as little or as much as required to make your projects successful. Just let us know if you need help.
